As in Gstaad, Tanja Hüberli and Nina Brunner have also withdrawn from the Elite 16 tournament in Vienna.

Tanja Hüberli is feeling better again after suffering from lumbago and is now focusing on preparing for the Olympic Games.

From Tuesday, the world's best beach volleyball duos will not only be checking their form just before Paris, but also competing for 300,000 dollars in prize money. Marco Krattiger/Florian Breer will be competing in the men's qualifiers, while Esmée Böbner/Zoé Vergé-Dépré - who have qualified for Paris - will be in the women's main draw and Anouk Vergé-Dépré/Joana Mäder will have to qualify.
