The Road World Championships will be held in Denmark in 2029 and in Brussels in 2030. This was announced by cycling's world governing body, the UCI, after its congress on the fringes of the title fights in Zurich.

It has yet to be decided which Danish city will win the bid.

Next year will be the first time that the World Championships will be held on the African continent. Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, is the venue. This will be followed by Montreal in 2026, Haute-Savoie in France in 2027 and Abu Dhabi in 2028.
