Thomas Bach wants to step down as President of the International Olympic Committee in 2025 at the end of his second term of office.

At the IOC General Assembly in Paris, Bach said that he would not seek re-election. In order to do so, the term limit in the Olympic Charter would first have had to be changed.

The German Bach has been President of the IOC since 2013.
