Auction Bessette-Kennedy's clothes are auctioned off

Several items of clothing belonging to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who died in a plane crash around 25 years ago, are to be auctioned off. They include two coats and a black blazer and skirt combination, according to the auction house Sotheby's.

Interested parties can bid on the items online between November 27 and December 17. One of the coats is black, the other has a leopard print.

Born in 1966, Bessette-Kennedy married the president's son John F. Kennedy Junior in 1996 and became known as a style icon. In 1999, the couple and Bessette-Kennedy's sister Lauren Bessette died in a plane crash off the island of Martha's Vineyard on the US East Coast.
