Last year, the 35-year-old also made a fresh start with a completely new management and her album "Balance". But Beatrice Egli still has one wish for her future: she wants to try her hand at acting.
"I actually dream of a movie role," Egli revealed in the interview. "On Sunday evenings on ZDF, as a contrast to 'Tatort', there's always the movie of the heart: 'Traumschiff' and 'Rosamunde Pilcher'"
Postponement causes confusion among fans
Now, however, the latest information about the "Beatrice Egli Show" is worrying and confusing the singer's fans: the format is no longer to be shown on ARD.
The website schlager.de first reported that the next broadcast date for the "Beatrice Egli Show" would be Saturday, April 6.
Strangely, however, the announcement was only made by Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR). In November 2023, Egli's TV show was still broadcast on ARD.
It has now been confirmed that there will indeed be another edition of the hit format on April 6.
The press release for the show states: "Schlager star Beatrice Egli is looking forward to a new edition of her Saturday evening show on SWR, MDR, SRF and for the first time on NDR. Afterwards, the show can also be seen in the ARD media library."
It is unclear why Beatrice Egli is being "deported"
It remains unclear why Beatrice Egli's show is being relegated to the third channels. Not least because viewer ratings were good before.
According to the online magazine DWDL.de, the "Beatrice Egli Show" achieved a market share of 14.3 percent among viewers aged three and over last November. The good figures from the April edition were thus confirmed.
At least something will make Beatrice Egli's fans happier again: The pop format is set to continue after spring 2024.
A spokesperson for Südwestfunk (SWR) made it clear to Ippen Media: "We are delighted with the success of the 'Beatrice Egli Show', are working on sequels, are very concrete in our program planning and preparations - we will provide more details soon."
