Singer Céline Dion is currently working on being able to perform on stage again. The 55-year-old is severely restricted due to her illness. But her sister is now giving fans hope.

In December 2022, Céline Dion announced that she was suffering from an incurable illness. As a result, she had to cancel her world tour completely.

The 55-year-old singer was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome. Symptoms of the disease are cramps that severely restrict her mobility. Until now, the Canadian has not given any further details about her current condition, but her sister Claudette (74) is now doing so.

"She is working hard"

Claudette Dion appeared on the Quebec program "Bonsoir Bonsoir" and revealed that Céline is currently trying everything to get the symptoms under control: "We are all keeping our fingers crossed and I can understand that people are worried." She added: "She is working hard and we are confident that we will be successful."

In a statement in May - when she canceled her tour - Dion commented: "Going on tour can be very difficult, even if you are 100 percent fit."
