At the beginning of November, Heino hinted in a TV interview that his wife was not doing well: "I'm in the process of looking after Hannelore. She had a car accident in the 70s and it's making itself felt now."

His wife can no longer walk like she used to, the singer continues. She now has a walking frame. "Now I have to look after Hannelore, and I'm happy to do that."

Heino and Hannelore were a couple for more than half their lives. They got together 46 years ago and married two years later. They met in 1972 while filming the movie "Blau blüht der Enzian".

At the time, Hannelore was still married to the noble Prince Alfred von Auersperg. This marriage lasted from 1968 to 1979.
