- On Friday evening, she brought Thierry from Zurich on stage.
- The landscape gardener sang "Atemlos" with Fischer.
- However, the singer was unable to pronounce his name correctly until the end.
On Friday evening, it wasn't just Helene Fischer who wowed the crowds in the Hallenstadion - Zurich landscape gardener Thierry also earned applause with a vocal performance.
After Fischer noticed the superfan in the front row thanks to his "I only want to sing with you" sign, she brought the 22-year-old on stage without further ado, where she sang the chorus of her mega-hit "Atemlos" with him.
Although it had been his goal to be noticed by Fischer, the fact that he was actually allowed to sing with her was a surprise, Thierry told blue News. "It was a dream come true for me," enthuses the Zurich native.
Helene Fischer didn't understand his name
"I went completely crazy. Being so close to my idol was breathtaking." While Thierry was standing by Fischer's side in the Hallenstadion, he was even in tears: "I've been a huge fan of hers for 11 years. I've been to seven concerts this year alone."
Before he sang, however, there was a funny scene. The name "Thierry" was probably a complete novelty for Fischer, she simply couldn't understand it. Thierry had to repeat his name several times while the superstar asked: "Gerry? Jerry? Terrier?"
On stage, she then explained: "You don't know that name in Germany." The landscape gardener is certainly not offended by the name confusion. "I thought it was funny," says Thierry. "I'm now called Gerry among my friends."
