Fred Durst announced on Instagram that he had to take some time off on the advice of his doctor. The frontman of the American nu-metal band Limp Bizkit will even have to miss the entire European tour.
Durst had undergone several tests before the big tour "to make sure I was fit". To his surprise, his doctor wrote him a letter forcing him to take the current rest period.
The cancellation of the tour affects the Wacken Festival 2022 in Germany and the Swiss Openair Gampel, among others.
However, the organizers in Valais announced today that a replacement has been found for the cancellation due to illness: Rapper Sido will be taking the microphone again in Switzerland after his performance at Openair Frauenfeld.
In an interview with blue Music host Annina Frey, he said that he always looks forward to performing in Switzerland - and this is likely to apply to Valais too. His guest performance will take place on Thursday, August 18.
He has long since left his primitive masked ego behind and grown up - from the underground to the mainstream, hordes of fans remain loyal to him. So the replacement for Limp Bizkit is definitely Würdig - Paul Würdig.
The rapper also revealed in the interview that his new album will be released in December, in which he has "processed the last two years".
