Former Swiss international Pajtim Kasami has a new coach at Sampdoria Genoa.
The club, which was relegated from Serie A last year, has dismissed Andrea Pirlo, as announced in a communiqué.
Pirlo has to go after a disappointing false start in Serie B. Sampdoria picked up just one point from their first three games. The former international took up the post last summer following the team's relegation from the top flight.
Pirlo's successor will be Andrea Sottil, who most recently worked at Serie A relegated Salernitana. However, his appointment has not yet been confirmed.
