A doctor from Lucerne defended himself in the Hochdorf district court on Friday against accusations that he had issued unjustified mask dispensations during the coronavirus pandemic. He was supported by several hundred sympathizers.

During questioning, the doctor said that he had acted within the scope of his medical duty. The patients had always claimed medical reasons, both physical and psychological. There had also been cases in which he had refused requests for a dispensation.

Over 300 critics of the measures followed the trial, which took place in the large hall of the Braui cultural center. They were there to provide "positive energy", said a spokeswoman before the hearing.
