Politics Three Lebanese soldiers killed in Israeli attack

Three Lebanese army soldiers have been killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, according to the armed forces. The Israeli military fired on an army vehicle near Ain Ebel, not far from the border with Israel, the military announced in Beirut. The Israeli armed forces did not initially comment on the incident.

The Lebanese army is neutral in the conflict between Israel and the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia. It is not the declared enemy of Israel, which claims to be taking action against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Nevertheless, there have already been repeated incidents with the Lebanese army in which several soldiers have been killed and injured.
