Following a massive Russian airstrike on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky calls on the world to take decisive action against Moscow. "Weakness, inadequate decisions in response feed terror", he said in a short video message.

Strong decisions were needed to end the war fairly. This includes lifting restrictions on the use of supplied Western weapons against Russia. "America, Great Britain, France and other partners have the power to help us stop the terror."

Until now, the Ukrainian army has not been allowed to use many longer-range weapons against targets in Russia in accordance with Western requirements.

Selensky spoke of one of the worst Russian airstrikes in two and a half years of war, with more than 100 missiles of various types and around 100 combat drones. "There is a lot of damage in the energy sector," he said. Clean-up and repair work is underway, he added.
