The Seeland Mobile Police, the Technical Accident Service and the Aarberg police station are to be housed at a joint location in Leimere Park in Aarberg in future, as the cantonal government announced in a press release.

The new location is in the middle of the administrative district of Seeland, on the edge of the town of Aarberg and in the immediate vicinity of the A6 highway. This meets the needs of all three units. The shared location would create synergies for the initial intervention of the cantonal police.

The Government Council is asking the Grand Council for an annual recurring amount of CHF 653,670 for the rent as well as a one-off amount of CHF 3.2 million for the corresponding expansion of the new location.
