Over the next few years, 150 apartments for locals are to be built on the former Valbella clinic site in Davos. The project is being driven forward by the town in partnership with real estate developer HRS. Now the public can have their say.

A partial revision of the zoning plan is necessary for the implementation of the Valbella housing project, as the town of Davos announced on Thursday. Now that the canton has given its approval, the public consultation process has begun. Davos residents have until September 9 to make suggestions and requests for changes.

The new residential development will offer a wide range of housing, from owner-occupied to affordable rental apartments. Around a third of the apartments will be offered at low-cost rents. According to the Davos city government, the new development is intended to "offer people with different social backgrounds and needs a new home".
