Personnel Alex Mathis moves from Sarnen OW to the Zug Road Traffic Office

The managing director of the municipality of Sarnen OW, Alex Mathis, is to become head of the road traffic office in the canton of Zug. He is therefore leaving his post in the Obwalden capital at the end of September 2024.

Mathis has only been the managing director of Sarnen since January 1, 2023. He is leaving the municipality at his own request, Sarnen announced on Tuesday. He wants to take on a new professional challenge.

Sarnen decided to introduce the managing director model in 2022, but the corresponding municipal regulations have not yet been submitted to the voters. The municipal council writes that Mathis has "laid the foundations for the managing director model".
