The road surfaces on the section between the Rütihof junction and the Küssnacht junction are to be replaced with low-noise surfaces, Astra wrote in a press release on Tuesday. In addition, crash barriers and fences are to be replaced. Engineering structures - including bridges, underpasses and overpasses or noise barriers - are also to be repaired.

This preparatory work is due to start on August 18. According to Astra, they are expected to last until the beginning of November. The work will be carried out at night in advance. According to Astra, noise emissions may occur locally.

The main work between the Unterrüti SBB bridge and the border between the cantons of Zug and Schwyz is scheduled to begin in March 2025. According to the Astra, this will be carried out in three stages between 2025 and 2027. According to Astra, the total costs amount to around 112 million Swiss francs.
