Eastern Switzerland Attic fire in Obstalden GL leads to considerable property damage

A fire in the attic above the garage of a residential building in Obstalden GL caused considerable damage to property on Thursday. According to the police, the residents were not at home when the fire broke out. The property is still habitable.

The exact amount of damage cannot yet be quantified, as the Glarus cantonal police announced on Thursday. An emergency roof is being erected over the garage. The cause of the fire is unclear.
