Work on the new school building and the triple sports hall at Hofwil High School in Münchenbuchsee will begin next Monday. The two new buildings are intended to solve the current space problems.

In future, the grammar school will have space for 650 pupils, as announced by the Bernese Building Department on Wednesday. The new buildings should be ready for occupation in summer 2026.

The existing buildings will then be renovated. Hofwil High School was last renovated in the early 1980s. The total costs for the upcoming expansion and renovation amount to CHF 65.6 million.
