Traffic accident Car driver dies in Zug after collision with truck
A 58-year-old car driver died on Monday morning in Zug after a collision with a truck. The truck driver was uninjured, as the Zug law enforcement authorities announced on Monday.

The accident occurred on Artherstrasse as the driver was traveling from Zug towards Walchwil and crossed into the oncoming lane. He collided with a truck and was trapped in his vehicle, where he died despite rapid medical assistance, according to the statement. The 21-year-old truck driver was uninjured.
According to the press release, the Artherstrasse had to be closed for several hours. The Zug, Walchwil and Arth fire departments, the Zug Care Team and a towing company were among those deployed.
The Zug police, under the direction of the Zug public prosecutor's office, have launched an investigation into the accident, according to the statement.
