A motorist drove his car onto the railroad tracks in Courtepin in the canton of Fribourg on Wednesday morning. He was probably under the influence of alcohol, according to the Fribourg cantonal police.

The 64-year-old man had lost control of his car while parking at Courtepin station. He broke through a security fence and ended up on the railroad tracks, as the police wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

The driver was able to get out of his car on his own, according to the statement. He remained uninjured.
