A car crashed on the Schwendelberg on Thursday. It left the road on a left-hand bend at 9:40 p.m. as it was traveling downhill towards Horw LU, crashed into a tree and drove into the Haltiwald forest, where it came to a standstill.

As the Lucerne police reported on Friday, the driver and his co-driver sustained minor injuries in the accident. They were hospitalized by the ambulance service.

The car was stuck in rough terrain. A crane had to be called out to recover it. The police put the damage at CHF 17,000. The exact cause of the accident was not yet known on Friday.
