Thanks to the courageous intervention of the driver and the petrol station attendant, a vehicle fire next to a petrol pump in Würenlos AG had a minor outcome. No one was injured.

According to the Aargau cantonal police, the incident occurred at 1.30 a.m. on Saturday at a service area. The car was next to the petrol pump when a flash fire broke out. The driver grabbed a fire extinguisher and, together with the gas station attendant, contained the fire to such an extent that the car could be rolled away from the gas pump. The fire department was then able to extinguish the fire completely.
According to the statement, the car was badly damaged. The roof above the petrol station was also damaged. The police suspect that the fire was caused by a technical defect.
