Traffic accident Car hits eight-year-old child in Wilen OW

An eight-year-old boy was hit by a car in Wilen OW on Thursday afternoon. He was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital.

The boy intended to cross Wilerstrasse in the Bodenmatte area, according to the Obwalden cantonal police. At the same time, a 64-year-old female driver was driving in the direction of Sarnen. The exact circumstances of the accident are currently being investigated by the police.
