A 59-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries in a car accident in Rehetobel AR on Thursday. On a bend, she drove her vehicle over the edge of the road, whereupon it overturned and came to rest on its roof.

The driver was taken to hospital by the ambulance service. The vehicle was a total loss, as the Appenzell Ausserrhoden cantonal police wrote in a statement on Friday.
