A car plunged down a slope in Silenen on Thursday and came to rest in a stream bed. The 31-year-old occupant was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The woman was traveling down the valley towards Amsteg, as reported by the Uri cantonal police on Thursday. In order to make way for an oncoming vehicle, she reversed and drove over the edge of the road.
