The City of Fribourg is testing temporary innovations for cyclists on the Boulevard de Pérolles. Cyclists are invited to give their opinion on the new infrastructure.

The innovations are intended to promote slow traffic. The usual yellow cycle lane will be supplemented by a green strip, followed by a series of lane dividers and a row of posts.

The installation is temporary and will be tested until the end of the year, according to a press release issued by the city on Wednesday. Cyclists can fill out a questionnaire and rate their feeling of safety and comfort on the section.

Based on the feedback, the city can adjust the installation if necessary. Also as a temporary trial, the city has drawn a continuous green line on the axis of Rue Louis-d'Affry to Avenue du Midi instead of the yellow road markings.
