A car driver collided with a cyclist in Rain LU on Tuesday lunchtime. The 77-year-old sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

It is still unclear how the accident occurred, Lucerne police reported on Wednesday. The cantonal road between Rain and Hildisrieden had to be closed for around four and a half hours.
