Berne Defective battery led to an apartment fire in Oberbipp

A technical defect in the battery of an electrical appliance led to a fire in an apartment in Oberbipp in June. This was announced by the Bern cantonal police on Monday.

According to estimates, the damage to property amounted to several tens of thousands of francs, the police wrote in a statement.

Two people were injured in the fire on Obisgasse on June 20.
