Traffic accident Driver hits crash barrier on A2 highway near Knutwil LU

A driver lost control of his vehicle on the A2 highway near Knutwil LU on Monday evening and crashed into a crash barrier several times. He injured himself and had to be taken to hospital.

One lane had to be temporarily closed due to the accident, as reported by the Lucerne police on Tuesday. The damage to property amounted to around 27,000 Swiss francs.

Just under a quarter of an hour earlier, there had been an accident in Dierikon LU, according to the statement. A driver with a blood alcohol level of 1.58 per mille drove off the road and broke through a fence. He remained uninjured. The police confiscated his driver's license. The damage to property amounts to around 26,000 francs.
