Search operation Emergency services find missing women on a bench in Alvaneu Bad GR
An 89-year-old woman and a 43-year-old woman were reported missing on Wednesday evening. At around 1 a.m., the emergency services found the two women safe and sound on a park bench near Arvadi GR.

Allegedly, the women had overestimated their route and got lost in the dark, the cantonal police of Graubünden wrote on Thursday. A man reported this to the police on Wednesday evening after he had briefly spoken to the women on the phone, but then the empty cell phone battery broke off contact.
Following this report, the police deployed a search party. Twelve members of the Alpine Rescue Service with two sniffer dogs, a firefighter and two police sniffer dog teams searched for the two missing persons. A Rega helicopter also supported the search operation.
