A security employee was injured in a fire at the Breitenau psychiatric center in Schaffhausen. There was a fire in a toilet facility on Thursday evening.

The security employee suffered smoke inhalation and had to be taken to hospital, as the Schaffhausen police reported on Friday.

The cause of the fire and the amount of property damage have not yet been determined. The fire department had to ventilate the completely smoke-filled reception center. The fire alarm was triggered automatically.
