Death Former Lucerne cantonal councillor Markus Hess (GLP) has passed away

Former GLP cantonal councillor Markus Hess from Nottwil died on Sunday at the age of 66. He served as a member of the Lucerne Cantonal Council from 2016 to 2020.

"His death leaves a painful void in our party and for all those who knew him," announced the GLP Canton Lucerne on Thursday evening. He was a committed Green Liberal with tireless dedication.

Among other things, Hess was the founding president of the GLP Oberer Sempachersee and a member and vice president of the Regional Development Agency (RET) Sursee-Mittelland, according to the press release. In the Lucerne parliament, he was a member of the Transport and Construction Committee and the Justice and Security Committee.
