A four-year-old girl on a bicycle was seriously injured in an accident in Seuzach on Thursday: While crossing a road, she was caught under a passing car.

The girl was riding along a sidewalk on Breitestrasse a little after 12:30 p.m., according to the Zurich cantonal police. At the same time, a 70-year-old female driver was traveling on the road in the opposite direction.
When the girl tried to cross Breitestrasse in the 30 km/h zone, a collision occurred. The four-year-old fell and came under the car. The father, who was traveling with the child, immediately rushed to help, according to the statement. The Winterthur ambulance service was alerted and took the victim to hospital with suspected serious injuries.
