Northern Switzerland Garage of apartment building in Suhr AG devastated by car fire

A car caught fire in the garage of an apartment building in Suhr AG on Thursday afternoon. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly and prevent it from spreading to the living area, as reported by the Aargau cantonal police on Friday.

An eyewitness saw thick smoke rising from the basement of the house on Lindenweg shortly after 2.00 pm. The fire department opened the locked garage door and discovered that a parked car was on fire, according to the statement.

As the smoke spread through the garage, the two other parked cars were also badly affected. The police have begun an investigation into the cause of the fire, which remains unclear for the time being.
