A fire broke out in the extension of a house in Oberterzen SG on Monday afternoon. The property damage amounted to around 200,000 francs. There were no injuries.

The fire on Hofstettenstrasse broke out shortly after 4 p.m. and was reported to the emergency call center by a person providing information, the St. Gallen cantonal police announced on Tuesday.

The emergency services found the extension to the house on fire. They were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the adjoining detached house. The cause is still unclear and is being investigated.
