Assault Man injured in a fall from a house in Basel

Late on Wednesday evening, a man fell from the second floor of a house in Basel following a physical altercation. The injured man had to be taken to hospital, as the Basel public prosecutor's office announced on Thursday.

The fall from the house on Müllheimerstrasse was preceded by a physical altercation between the 31-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, according to the statement. Both parties were considerably intoxicated. According to the press release, the police took the woman to a police station for a check-up.

It is not yet known what led to the argument or exactly how it happened. The public prosecutor's office is looking for witnesses.
