Violence Man injures wife during argument in Winterthur apartment
An elderly man assaulted his wife during an argument in an apartment in Winterthur on Sunday night, putting her life in danger. The man was arrested, according to the Zurich cantonal police on Sunday afternoon.

The report of the argument in an apartment was received by the Winterthur city police shortly after midnight. In the apartment, the officers came across an injured 65-year-old Swiss woman and her 73-year-old husband.
According to initial findings by the police, verbal arguments broke out between the couple during the course of the day. The situation escalated at around midnight, according to the statement.
The course of events and the background to the incident have not yet been clarified and are the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Zurich cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office I for violent crimes, the police added.
