Crime Man is slightly injured in an attempted robbery in Basel

A 53-year-old man was slightly injured early Wednesday morning by three strangers during an attempted robbery. The three men demanded money, suddenly knocked the victim to the ground and kicked him. The police arrested the suspects, as the public prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday.

The 53-year-old was on his way home after a business event at 2.45 a.m. when the three young men tried to rob him. He was able to restrain one of the three, while the other two fled before they were all caught by the police.

The arrested men are an 18-year-old Moroccan and two Algerians aged 25 and 27. The man who was robbed was taken to the emergency ward by the ambulance service, according to the press release.
