A young woman was the victim of a sexual assault on the festival grounds of the Seenachtfest in Kreuzlingen TG on Sunday night. The perpetrator also threatened her, according to the Thurgau cantonal police.

According to the information available so far, a serious sexual offense took place at three o'clock on Sunday morning on the lakeshore near the Seeburgturm tower, according to the press release issued on Monday.

The victim is an underage Swiss girl. She informed her parents, who then alerted the emergency call center. The Kreuzlingen public prosecutor's office has opened a criminal investigation.
