Administration Mayor of Biel undergoes surgical procedure

The Mayor of Biel/Bienne, Erich Fehr, will have to undergo a minor surgical procedure at the beginning of next week. He is therefore temporarily reducing his workload.

The hospital stay is expected to last two days, as the Biel/Bienne city authorities announced on Wednesday. During the rest of the week, Fehr will be working reduced hours and will not be making any public appearances.

From August 12, the 56-year-old Social Democrat should be able to resume his duties without restriction, the press release adds.
