A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in the municipality of Ebikon LU. He was riding on Sedelstrasse on Monday afternoon when he was hit by a car turning into the road.

The motorcyclist was thrown away by the impact, the Lucerne public prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday. The 144 ambulance service took the injured man to hospital.

The damage to property is estimated at 12,000 Swiss francs in the statement.
