The incumbent mayor of Worb, Niklaus Gfeller (EVP), is looking forward to another term of office. No challengers have registered for the municipal elections on September 22.

The municipal council will therefore declare Gfeller elected in a silent election, the municipal clerk's office announced on Tuesday. The EVP member has been in office since 2009 and is therefore approaching his fifth term of office.

"I haven't lost it yet," Gfeller told the "Berner Zeitung" newspaper last fall when he announced his new candidacy. At the beginning of his presidency, the local planning revision was a major topic, followed by the internal development of the municipality.

Now the question is how and where Worb should continue to grow. He would like to accompany this process.
