A paraglider pilot crashed on Monday afternoon on the Zugerberg during his landing approach. He had to be flown to hospital by Rega, as the Zug police reported on Tuesday.

Because one side of the paraglider collapsed during landing, the 82-year-old man fell from a height of several meters. He had to be rescued by Rega using a rescue hoist, as the police wrote in a statement.

The man was later able to leave hospital with minor injuries.
