Zug police caught a 27-year-old man entering a partially empty house in Unterägeri on Thursday. Among other things, a suspected stolen wallet and a smartphone were found in the house and on the suspect's person.

The man had come to the attention of the police due to his conspicuous behavior and was later observed entering a semi-detached house, the Zug law enforcement authorities announced on Tuesday. The police then called in reinforcements and surrounded the house. When the man left the house again, he was arrested.

The accused behaved erratically and abusively during the interrogation, according to the statement. He tried to attack the officers several times. The summary judge of the public prosecutor's office sentenced the man to an unconditional fine for damage to property, trespassing, violence and threats against authorities and officers, as well as theft.
