Drug trafficking Police seize 47 kilograms of cocaine at Zurich airport

Five suspected drug smugglers attempted to smuggle 47 kilograms of cocaine into Switzerland at Zurich Airport. The drugs were hidden in a piece of luggage.

The drugs were discovered during a customs check, as the cantonal police announced on Wednesday. The suspected drug dealers come from Albania and are between 25 and 40 years old. They were arrested.

It is unusual for the police to seize such a large quantity of cocaine at once. A total of 65 kilograms of cocaine were found last year.
