The St. Gallen cantonal police stopped a speeding driver near Oberbüren SG on Monday evening. The 37-year-old driver was traveling at 150 km/h instead of the permitted 80 km/h. The man was also driving under the influence of alcohol. He had to surrender his driver's license.

After a speed measurement, the man was stopped by a police patrol, as the cantonal police of St. Gallen wrote in a press release on Tuesday. The public prosecutor's office ordered a blood and urine sample to be taken. The 37-year-old German will be reported to the public prosecutor's office.
