Traffic accident Rear-end collision near Interlaken causes injuries
One person was injured in a rear-end collision in the Rugentunnel in Matten near Interlaken on Sunday evening. A total of three vehicles were involved in the accident.

At around 5.50 p.m., the police were alerted that two cars and a motorcycle had collided. According to initial findings by the police, the vehicles were traveling one behind the other on the overtaking lane in the direction of Thun.
For as yet unexplained reasons, they collided, as the Bern cantonal police reported on Monday. The motorcyclist at the rear was injured and had to be flown to hospital by helicopter.
The Rugentunnel had to be closed for around an hour for the accident work. Afterwards, one side of the road was open again. The Bern cantonal police have opened an investigation into the accident.
