Robbery Residents of a family home in Meiringen BE threatened and robbed

An unknown assailant threatened and robbed the residents of a detached house in Meiringen BE early on Saturday morning. No one was injured. The search for the presumed two perpetrators was initially unsuccessful.

According to initial findings, the perpetrators entered the detached house through an open window shortly before 4.55 a.m., as reported by the Bern cantonal police. The occupants were threatened and asked to hand over cash. The perpetrators then fled in an unknown direction with a wristwatch, jewelry and cash.
