During an inspection of a car in Stein AG, employees of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security seized a total of 5.9 kilograms of hashish. The ten packages were hidden in the car door. A service dog had sniffed out the drugs.

The French driver of the car entering Switzerland from Germany was handed over to the Aargau cantonal police, as reported by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) on Thursday.

The employees had stopped the car three weeks ago. It was suspected of being used to smuggle narcotics. The employees therefore called in a service dog handler and his dog named Voss.

The animal's sniffer nose reportedly sniffed in the area of the rear side door. Specialists called in then removed ten packages containing a total of 5.9 kilograms of hashish from a hiding place in the car door.
